I believe that individuals who own and operate businesses are entitled to fair returns on their efforts and investments and should not be overly burdened with unnecessary rules and regulations. At the same time, I believe that business owners and executives have the responsibility for paying fair wages and providing safe and dignified working conditions for their employees, and for not destroying the environment. I believe that business executives, like business employees, also deserve fair compensation, but that when a small fraction of our population receives exorbitant salaries and benefits, the majority of the people are either not being paid fairly or are being overcharged for goods and services,
