Labor
I support the right of all workers to organize; to be paid fair wages; to work in safe and healthy environments; to receive necessary medical care; and to receive secure pensions that provide for their needs after retirement. At the same time, I believe that labor unions have the responsibility to operate democratically and to bargain fairly, keeping the common good of everyone in mind.
I am disturbed by the increasing gap between the rich and the poor in our country and the declining middle class. As a U.S. Congressman, I will represent the interests of the hard working men and women who produce the goods and provide the services that we all depend on. I will work to bring good-paying jobs back to the United States and to ensure that working class people get both the respect they deserve and their fair share of our country's wealth.
