Womens' Reproductive Rights

I treat women of all ages and from all walks of life in the Emergency Department, including women during various stages of pregnancy. I am troubled by the interference of partisan politics in medical decisions that a woman makes in consultation with her physician. While I believe that abortion is not a good means of birth control, I believe that a woman has the right to early termination of a pregnancy that she does not feel prepared to carry to term. As a Congressman, I will work to keep abortion safe and legal, and to make other, better means of birth control readily available.
