When citizens came to Bill to ask him to run for Congress, he thought long and hard about taking time off from his work in the ER. Bill decided, though, that at this time in his career and in our nation's history, he could potentially do more for his fellow citizens by serving as a Congressman.

Bill notes that one of the most important skills of a good Emergency Physician is being a good listener. He believes that the same is true of being a good Congressman.

Bill and his fellow former Marine, retired Col. Jim Cook, who is running for State Assembly. Bill and Jim are true to the Marine Corps motto, "Semper Fidelis," (always faithful). Bill and Jim will serve their constituents faithfully - Bill in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Jim in the State Assembly.
